Hands on Chinese cultural experience.

 

Meet your guide at the Inn and start with a short drive (30 min) to Fuli town, where you can wonder around and visit the local market, and we especially recommend that you do so if it's a market day! Plenty of farmers from the area bring in their specialised local produce during those days. Fuli town has kept some of it's original appearance and parts have been restored, and the old parts of town have a slow, lazy feeling about them. Your guide will show you the best parts. 

 

Fuli is also famous for Fan Painting handicrafts; with your guide, you will attend one of the small family workshops where you get to make your own, put it together and paint it, traditional Chinese style (and variations, if you wish). After a nice lunch at Fuli, the car will drop you back at the Outside Inn.

 

If you wish to extend your outing, boats run between Fuli and Old Liugong Village, on the Li River. Ask our reception about the extension and any additional cost.
