Birds around Yangshuo (1)

As I said in yesterday's post, while walking the Hobbit trail you will hear a lot of birds. Now there are actually many different kind of birds around the Yangshuo area. I'll start with some of the more common species.
Light-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus Sinensis)
Also known as the Chinese Bulbul. One of the more common birds you see and hear all around the Yulong River valley. They are often with several together and can be pretty loud.
Red-whiskered Bulbul (Pycnonotus Jocosus)
A cousin of the Chinese Bulbul is this equally loud but more colourful species with it's typical pointed black crest and red/white face patch.
